When are you tempted to try to impress people?

When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon and the palace he had built and the food on his table, in the temple of the, she was overwhelmed. I am tempted to impress people whenever i am in some place where no one knows me or i am new.

~This passage talks about how Elijah said to Ahab as the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word. You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed you there So he did what the Lord had told him. He went and stayed there. When she went back she had jars and jars full of oil and more than enough bread. My attitude towards God's power is good. I love to see God work miracles and show himself to lost sinners.

Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba he left his servant there, while he himself went a day’s journey into the desert. He came to a broom tree, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. I have had enough Lord he said. Take my life I am no better than my ancestors. Then he lay down under the tree and fell asleep. The last time i felt sorry for myself wasnt anytime recent, but i ehenever i feel sorry for myself its probably because i made the decission to do whatever it was that made me feel that way.
